On February 25, to further implement the spirit of the work deployment conferences of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on advancing Covid-19 prevention and control and economic and social development, as one of the national civilized entities in the system of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SHSASAC), SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SIGAM), along with 19 other entities, issued an initiative to civilized entities at all levels in the SHSASAC system, calling for all-out efforts to prevent and control the epidemic, comprehensively implement prevention and control requirements, advance work and production resumption in an orderly way, and perform social responsibility.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, under the strong leadership of SIG and the CPC SIG Committee, SIGAM has taken Covid-19 prevention and control as the most important work at present, responded promptly, made elaborate arrangements, conducted epidemic prevention and control and work and production resumption simultaneously, and played a positive role in ensuring the production, life and epidemic prevention and control of Shanghai.

Support SMEs through rent exemption and reduction

SIGAM has implemented the spirit of the Policy Measures of Shanghai Municipality for Going All out for Epidemic Prevention and Control to Support and Serve the Steady and Healthy Development of Enterprises, implemented the housing rent reduction and exemption policy for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and worked out detailed operation rules according to SIG's unified arrangements, to practically ease the burden of SMEs. Total rent reductions and exemptions are expected to exceed 10 million yuan.

Support frontline medical workers

Crowne Plaza Shanghai Xiayang Lake under SIGAM responded to the call at the earliest possible time by providing 88 rooms to medical workers involved in epidemic prevention and control on key posts at Qingpu's health and medical institutions.

Perform social responsibility by donation

The fund management companies under SIGAM donated a total of 3.5 million yuan to support epidemic prevention and control and treatment. Enterprises, invested in by funds managed by the fund management companies, have also taken active part in the anti-epidemic fight. At the call of the Shanghai Women's Federation, SIGAM's female employees donated 29,830 yuan to the Shanghai Children's Federation to purchase medical isolation masks, and delivered them to Shanghai's Hubei-aiding medical team and some hospitals in Shanghai in support of frontline medical workers.

No step, no mile. In a history of over 30 years, SIGAM has persistently conducted civilization construction for over 20 years. SIGAM has been selected as Shanghai Civilized Entity 11 times (for 22 consecutive years) since 1997, was honored as the 4th National Civilized Entity in 2015 and passed the re-evaluation in 2017.
