On the morning of August 21, accompanied by Party Secretary and Director Bai Tinghui and Deputy Party Secretary Xiao Wen'gao of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SHSASAC), Weng Jieming, Vice Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), visited Shanghai International Group (SIG).
Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, introduced SIG, as well as its practice of serving major national and municipal strategies. Fu Fan, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG, delivered a report on SIG's state-owned capital operation and performance of rights and responsibilities as a state-owned shareholder.
Weng fully recognized SIG's important role and active exploration in serving the reform of state-owned capital and enterprises and the development of the real economy with focus on major national tasks and municipal development strategies, requiring that the Reform Office of SASAC should strengthen surveys, summarize and extend experience. As a local state-owned capital investment and operation company, SIG is a core subject of the state-owned capital and enterprise reform, said he, requiring that SIG should seriously implement the requirements of the State Council for implementing the system of authorized operation of state-owned capital, to further deepen the state-owned capital and enterprise reform. Firstly, SIG should uphold the Party's leadership, and better implement the policies and major decisions and arrangements of the Party and state. Secondly, SIG should enliven the enterprise and properly manage capital to improve its working mechanism, and achieve decisive results in important fields and key links according to the law of enterprise operation. Lastly, SIG should firmly prevent the loss of state-owned assets, to maintain and enhance the value of state-owned assets.
Leaders of the Reform Office of SASAC, relevant offices of SHSASAC and SIG, as well as staff of SIG's relevant departments attended the meeting.
