According to the requirements of education themed "Staying true to the mission", by late July, Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors and other leaders of SIG had given Party lessons to management cadres of the CPC SIG Committee, cadres and staff of SIG's subsidiaries or members of relevant Party branches. Based on their experience of learning Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, especially his important statement on "staying true to the mission", SIG's leaders pointed out the existing gaps and deficiencies, talked about the ideas and measures of guiding practice and promoting improvement, and shared their understanding of staying true to the mission, to provide theoretical guidance for cadres and Party members to better learn and comprehend Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and better assume the mission in light of their work actualities.

On July 29, Yu gave a Party lesson to SIG's leaders and management cadres of the CPC SIG Committee. The lesson had a distinct theme and rich content. With focus on the theme of "Staying true to the mission", he shared his experience of learning Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, analyzed SIG's existing gaps and deficiencies, and posed clear requirements for promoting the deepened reform and innovative development of SI and better carrying out thematic education.

Fu Fan, Wu Jun, Guan Wei and other leaders of SIG also gave Party lessons at SIG's subsidiaries or relevant Party branches. Fu shared his understanding of the mission with focus on how to be a qualified Party member living up to the era, and posed requirements for the high-quality development of Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM). With focus on implementing the spirit of the speech of Li Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee during his visit to SIG, Wu required that SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SIGAM) should strengthen grass-roots Party building and Party conduct construction, and seize the development opportunity to make new achievements. At Shanghai Sitico Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SAM), Guan required that SAM should firm up its belief, arm itself with theories, and strengthen team building and Party organization building, to constantly enhance cadres and staff's sense of responsibility and mission. At the Fifth Party Branch of the headquarters, Ma Haiyan shared her understanding of the mission, requiring that the Party branch should stand high, be more passionate, creative and responsible, and implement the requirements of thematic education practice. At the First Party Branch of the headquarters, Chen Zhenpeng discussed cadre growth with the Party branch with focus on the growth of General Secretary Xi Jinping, proposing the practice path of being good cadres of state-owned enterprises in the new era. At SSAM, Zhou Lei required that SSAM's cadres and staff should further learn Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, keep improving the quality of SSAM's Party building, deepen the construction of the Party building brand, and promote the reform and development of SSAM with the outcomes of Party building.

The 17th tour steering group of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee attached great importance to the Party lessons given by SIG's leaders. Head Zuo Yan, Deputy Head Qi Ming and other members of the group visited SIG and listened to the Party lessons given by the key leaders. Leaders of SIG's subsidiaries will finish Party lessons by late July.

At the next stage, SIG will continue to advance thematic education steadily according to the unified arrangement of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, conduct special rectification and implement rectification measures, closely integrate thematic education with the comprehensive fulfillment of the annual task, the implementation of the spirit of Secretary Li Qiang's speech during his visit to SIG and the new-round three-year planning of SIG, and promote the high-quality development of SIG with the outcomes of thematic education.
