On the morning of January 26, the leading body of Shanghai International Group (SIG) held a criticism and self-criticism meeting on Party history study and education. Based on the work of SIG and the actualities of individuals, the attendees conducted self-examination, Party spirit review, criticism and self-criticism under the theme.

Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, hosted the meeting. Present were members of the leading body of the CPC SIG Committee, including Liu Xinyi, Wu Jun, Zhou Lei, Ma Haiyan and Chen Zhenpeng. Hu Youlian, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of SIG; Zhong Maojun, Chief Operation Officer of SIG and Wang Tayu, Chief Investment Officer of SIG attended the meeting.

Also present were Zhang Min, Director of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Shanghai Municipal Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervisory Commission at the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SHSASAC); Wang Youyi, Deputy Chief of the Enterprise Executive Division of the Organization Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee; and Hu Zhigao, Deputy Chief of the Division of Enterprise Leader Management of SHSASAC.

For the success of this meeting, members of SIG's leading body made full mental preparation and work preparation by learning Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session of 19th CPC Central Committee in advance, soliciting opinions and suggestions, holding heart-to-heart talks, reviewed problems and writing comparative examination materials.

The meeting reported the correction of the problems proposed at the 2020 Meeting on Criticism and Self-Criticism, as well as the collection and summarization of opinions prior to this year's meeting. Yu conducted comparative examination on behalf of SIG's leading body, analyzed the existing problems in depth and conducted personal comparative examination first. The other members of the leading body conducted personal comparative examination and criticism one by one, pointed out the existing deficiencies and offered suggestions on improvement.

Zhang spoke highly of the meeting, thinking SIG's leading body had attached great importance to the meeting, made full preparation, searched for problems in depth, and conducted practical self-criticism and mutual criticism for public interests, showing their strong sense of responsibility for their cause, organization and comrades. She hoped that SIG's leading body would pay more attention to practical learning effects, make correction, focus on the central task, and promote reform and development through the meeting.

With this meeting as a starting point, SIG's leading body will take a clearer political stand, take "establishing Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, upholding Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and upholding the Central Committee's authority and its centralized, unified leadership" as the firmest political stand, the most solid political belief and the most important practical requirements, work harder, convert the effects of Party history study and education into a concrete move to promote the high-quality development of SIG, fulfill the targets and tasks set in SIG's three-year action plan, exercise Party self-governance more fully and vigorously, ensure the fulfillment of the political responsibility of Party management and governance, deepen and refine the mechanism of "four-responsibility collaboration", perseveringly correct "four bad practices" and foster new healthy ethos, thereby pushing forward the full and vigorous exercise of Party self-governance in SIG, Yu said. SIG's leading body should further enhance initiatives, and implement the corrective measures of the leading body and individuals, so as to meet the 20th CPC National Congress and the 12th Shanghai Municipal Party Congress by action.
