The CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters held a Party member congress on December 28. Wu Jun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters, delivered a report on behalf of the committee. Ma Haiyan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters, hosted the congress. Hu Youlian, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of SIG and Zhong Maojun, Chief Operation Officer of SIG were invited to attend the congress. Also present were non-Party-member representatives of SIG's Headquarters.

On behalf of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters, Wu delivered a report entitled Promoting the Great Founding Spirit of the Party, Opening a New Page for Reform and Development. The report reviewed the fruitful results of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters in strengthening ideological and political building, leveraging the leading role of Party organizations, exercising full and vigorous governance over the Party, strengthening Party organization building and deepening the creation of Party building brands under the leadership of the CPC SIG Committee.

The report noted that, over the past five years, the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters has upheld Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, comprehensively implemented the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the plenary sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, fully leveraged its leading role under the leadership of the CPC SIG Committee, united and led executives and staff of the committee in overcoming hardships and working hard, given full play to the fortress role of Party organizations and the exemplary and vanguard role of Party members, and provided strong political, ideological and organizational guarantee for SIG to deepen reform and innovation and realize high-quality development.

The report established the guidelines of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters in the coming five years: upholding Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, earnestly studying the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the plenary sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, promoting the great founding spirit of the Party, drawing on wisdom and power from the Party's major achievements and historical experience over the past century, enhancing "four consciousnesses", firming up "four confidences", strongly supporting "two establishments" and resolutely managing "two maintenances", implementing the arrangements of the CPC SIG Committee, upholding the Party's leadership and strengthening Party building throughout reform and development, integrally, accurately and comprehensively applying the new development philosophy, accelerating the creation of a new development pattern, being devoted to SIG's "dual engine" strategy of state-owned capital operation and investment management led by financial holding group building, and providing strong guarantee for promoting the implementation of SIG's "fourteenth five-year" plan and the high-quality development of SIG.

The report set the key tasks for the coming five years: continuing to strengthen ideological and political building; pushing forward the central work of promoting reform and development through Party building; constantly strengthening Party organization building; advancing the full and vigorous exercise of governance over the Party; enhancing the practical effects of Party member education and management; creating Party building brands and establishing advanced models; pressing ahead with corporate culture building and mass group work.

During the congress, with full political enthusiasm, all the Party members of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters fully promoted democracy, earnestly performed duties and responsibilities, and deliberated on the work report of the CPC SIG Committee and the congress's resolutions.

Under the supervision of the chief scrutineer and scrutineers, the Party members present elected members of the new the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters by secret ballot. Following the congress, the 1st plenary meeting of the new CPC SIG Committee was held. Ma was elected as Secretary of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters and Chen as Deputy Secretary.

The congress stressed that we should study the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, promote the great founding spirit of the Party, draw on wisdom and power from the Party's major achievements and historical experience over the past century, integrally, accurately and comprehensively apply the new development philosophy, accelerate the creation of a new development pattern, implement the arrangements of the CPC SIG Committee, and uphold the Party's leadership and strengthen Party building throughout reform and development; should continue to strengthen ideological and political building, constantly strengthen Party organization building, persistently exercise full and vigorous governance over the Party, practically enhance the practical effects of Party member education and management, focus on strengthening the creation of Party building brands and the establishment of advanced models, press ahead with corporate culture building and mass group work, and practically fulfill work tasks; should devote ourselves to SIG's "dual engine" strategy of state-owned capital operation and investment management led by financial holding group building, and play a positive role in promoting the implementation of SIG's "fourteenth five-year" plan and the high-quality development of SIG.

The congress called on Party organizations at all levels, all Party members, executives and staff of the CPC Committee of SIG's Headquarters to uphold Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, enhance "four consciousnesses", firm up "four confidences", firmly manage "two maintenances", stay true to their original aspiration and mission, and make new contributions to building SIG into a domestic first-class financial holding group and state-owned capital investment operation platform, and opening up a new prospect for the reform and development of SIG!
