The 2022 Party Work Conference of Shanghai International Group (SIG) was held on January 18. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, hosted the conference and delivered a speech. Liu Xinyi, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG, delivered the business work report. Wu Jun, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee, delivered the work report of the CPC SIG Committee. Present were members of SIG's leading body, SIG's executives above the assistant level, SIG's full-time board directors and supervisors, SIG's dispatched executives and heads of the CYL SIG Committee, as well as heads of GP Capital, Guohe Capital, Sailing Capital, Shanghai Sci-tech Capital and Growth FoF.

2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and a significant year in the development history of SIG. SIG celebrated its 40th anniversary, fully demonstrating Shanghai's remarkable achievements in and contributions to the reform, opening-up and economic and social development. Facing the complex and severe external environment, as well as the heavy task of reform and development, guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, SIG comprehensively implemented the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the spirit of the previous plenary sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, as well as the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, as well as the CPC Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Under the leadership of the CPC SIG Committee, SIG earnestly implemented the three-year action plan for the reform of state-owned enterprises, carried out the eight special actions, performed the innovation mission, applied the philosophy of people's city and fulfilled other important tasks, implemented the new three-year action plan, coordinated COVID-19 prevention and control with corporate development, made great progress in key work such as financial holding group building, investment management and state-owned capital operation, continued to improve its management capacity and development quality, and fulfilled the annual important tasks.

As of late 2021, SIG registered total assets of 257.134 billion yuan (unaudited, same below) and net assets of 180.435 billion yuan according to consolidated statements, with an asset-liability ratio of 29.83 percent. In 2021, SIG achieved a total profit of 10.324 billion yuan, and turned over total revenues of 2.503 billion yuan from state-owned capital operations and specialized operations.

The conference noted that the year of 2022 is a crucial year for continuing to implement the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan, as well as the concluding year for the three-year action plan for the reform of state-owned enterprises. In 2022, SIG will fulfill the current three-year action plan and embark on a new journey for development. SIG should unify its thoughts and actions on the judgment of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on the current situation, as well as their decisions and arrangements for the economic work next year, adhere to the general principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, fully and faithfully implement the new development philosophy on all fronts, ensure overall stability, maintain progress, stay focused on stability, firm up the confidence in making progress, promote stability by progress, and accelerate the development of new advantages for high-quality development. SIG should focus more energy on key work such as financial holding group building, state-owned capital operation, active investment, asset management, risk prevention and grass-roots Party building, pool efforts, forge ahead and make new endeavors in the innovative development of SIG.

The conference required that SIG's departments and subsidiaries should convey and implement the spirit of the conference, work out and decompose annual targets and tasks as soon as possible based on their facts; should earnestly fulfill the work at the turn of the year, stay vigilant against COVID-19, and take preventive and protective measures; should tighten work safety control, and hold fast to the bottom line of safety and stability; and should care for the needy by ensuring their living standards, help the poor and deliver warmth. Party members and executives at all levels, especially executives, should earnestly implement the eight regulations of the CPC Central Committee to create a clean and upright festival atmosphere.

The conference was held in a main venue and two sub-venues in strict accordance with the city's spirit of COVID-19 prevention and control.
