Spring is coming, but the epidemic situation in Shanghai has become increasingly grim since early March. Almost all the staff of Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM) started working from home on March 16. Thanks to the efforts of the staff sticking to posts, SSAM has remained steady in epidemic prevention and business operation. At SSAM's building, female staff members were often seen working hard regardless of personal gains or losses. With special responsibility on shoulders, they are the most gorgeous "steel roses".
Taking the lead
SSAM's female executives have led the fight against COVID-19 by example, presenting the most beautiful "scroll of females". Yao Hailan, Vice President of SSAM, is in charge of SSAM's financial and risk control affairs. She planned early for the smooth issuance of SCP in April, conducted active coordination and made proper arrangements to ensure punctual and secure payments. Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, she has organized three online risk review meetings on four projects, and assisted SIG in risk screening in key fields. Recently she has signed up as a community volunteer to make her contributions as a Party member.
Sun Beiyu, Vice President of SSAM, is an all-rounder. While being responsible for preventing and dissolving financial risks as the head of non-performing assets management, she is in charge of administrative affairs and the operation of Henggao Company. In the frontline, she has guided functional departments in establishing a unified personnel information management mechanism covering staff, on-site entities and dispatched labors, organized the storage of anti-epidemic supplies, made early arrangements for strengthening epidemic prevention and control, organized all staff for nucleic acid testing, strictly standardized the entry & exit management of the building and the park, and guided the property office and the canteen in disinfecting the building and delivering meals to staff. At the time when Bank of Shanghai has recently moved into the building, facing the mounting pressure of epidemic prevention, she has led a team in conducting joint prevention and control with tenants, to ensure the fulfillment of prevention and control responsibilities.
Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, SSAM has kept the Party flag flying high and the fortress standing firm on the front. As an assistant head of the Party Office, the Personnel Department, the Labor Union and the CYL Committee, Guo Lifang, President Assistant of SSAM, has been committed to weaving a tight organizational network through refined management. She required that all Party branches should organize learning and education, mobilize Party members to give full play to their exemplary and vanguard role by signing up as volunteers; should guide staff in devoting themselves to work under the guidance of the corporate culture and working from home by stage, and improve work plan management for the staff working from home; should care about the physical and mental health of staff by offering guidance on making two-way communication with and providing counseling to those working from home, providing online learning resources for 24 hours on a daily basis, "Heart to Heart" Staff Care Platform and CPIC claims, to keep SSAM's business running and demonstrate the effects of Party history study and education.
Performing responsibilities
As a department head, Cui Yan from the Third Party Branch of SSAM has stuck to her post during working from home, to minimize the impact of the epidemic on business. She has worked with middle and back departments to complete contract review, binding and stamping within a day and night, and delivered contracts to cooperative institutions in person. She has earnestly implemented the document on "the eight special actions" released by the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and visited several state-owned capital enterprises when the epidemic situation was stable, to find out their intent on the recovery and disposal of their non-performing assets in existence. Besides, she has given full play to her exemplary and vanguard role as a Party member, applied to the community for serving as a volunteer for nucleic acid testing, assisted in organizing residents to receive tests in groups, and provided emergency services including publicity and guidance. In doing so, she has interpreted the profound connotation of the famous Chinese saying: "Females are as excellent as their male peers" by action.
Staying in solidarity
In the special period of fighting COVID-19 together, Chu Xiao from the Fourth Party Branch of SSAM responded to the call by putting on a protective suit and a mask, to join the fight against COVID-19 as a community volunteer for nucleic acid testing. As there are many elderly people in her community and some of them cannot use smartphones well, she helped to register personal information for nucleic acid testing. She has worked for nearly 10 hours every day from morning to night and so far helped a total of over 50 residents. Seeing some elderly residents unable to move freely, she helped them dump garbage and delivered supplies from door to door during the lockdown, demonstrating the advanced image of SSAM's Party members as flags and Party branches as fortresses.
Working with full devotion
The acquisition and statistics of epidemic data must be fast and accurate. Jin Beiting from the First Party Branch of SSAM volunteered for the statistical work for all the staff involved in community lockdown and nucleic acid and antigen testing. To ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data, she returned to the company immediately after the lift of the lockdown in her community, kept optimizing methods of data acquisition and improved statistical efficiency, thereby providing strong "big data" support for SSAM's epidemic prevention and control efforts. She also joined as a community volunteer, worked with anti-epidemic workers to deliver and distribute supplies, and assisted in nucleic acid and antigen testing. Just like a gleam of light, she has demonstrated the splendor of SSAM's female staff by silently guarding her home and this city.
Forging ahead together
Party members from the Sixth Party Branch of SSAM have also devoted themselves to volunteer services after busy work. Though her son was only five months old, Mou Ping undertook the "double reporting" task for Party members, completed the counting of community residents and the assignment of tasks prior to nucleic acid testing, and worked till 11 PM. At 6:30 AM next morning, she resolutely put on a protective gear, went on duty on time, acted the notice of nucleic acid testing, counted the number of recipients, kept order and patiently pacified her neighbors. When the test was over at 10 PM, sweat soaked her clothes beneath the protective suit. Her community has been closed for a dozen days, many residents can only get vegetables through ordering by the neighborhood committee, counting and delivering vegetables was routine but complex, but she made timely deliveries without any omission.
March 30 was the third day after the lockdown of entire Pudong New Area, as well as the 13th day after the lockdown of Zhangjiang Community. After going through the trouble of buying and distributing vegetables, the community saw the arrival of the first batch of group-purchased vegetables. To strictly comply with the municipal epidemic prevention policy, and keep residents indoors during the lockdown, the property office temporarily recruited volunteers to distribute supplies, Li Jing, one of them, sorted and distributed vegetables by building according to the purchase list. Seeing neighbors delighted to receive fresh vegetables, she felt the warmth of unity.
After her community was locked down, Mo Kaiyue signed up as an anti-epidemic volunteer at the call of the neighborhood committee, responsible for counting the number of nucleic acid test recipients, delivering antigen reagents from door to door and making statistics of test results. To make the number of nucleic acid test recipients accurate, and avoid any omission, she counted via a WeChat group or by visiting, checked the household list provided by the neighborhood committee with the test list to be reported item by item, identified students and elderly people by household, and opened up a green channel for them. To protect residents from contacts, she delivered antigen reagents from door to door, reminded residents to open doors to get, and helped the elderly people that cannot use antigen reagents with antigen testing. In doing so, she has made her contributions to epidemic prevention and control.
"This is what I am supposed to do." They often said so. Their plain word and warm action have shown us Party members' spirit of forging ahead without fear, and interpreted the responsibility of Party members in the new era. At the crucial moment of epidemic prevention and control for Shanghai, the "steel roses", just like stars, are illuminating this city, convincing us that we will beat the virus and usher in a warm spring.
