At around 7 PM on March 31, Crowne Plaza Shanghai Xiayang Lake received an emergency notice from the Qingpu Culture and Tourism Administration, requiring the hotel to arrange accommodation for the medical workers from Qingpu Mobile Cabin Hospital and the staff from the Qingpu Health Commission according to the instructions of the CPC Qingpu District Committee and the Qingpu District People's Government. "Go where there is epidemic, fight it till it perishes." Led and organized by the Party branch of the company and its working group on epidemic prevention and control, the management team of the hotel resolutely responded to the instructions of the CPC Qingpu District Committee and the Qingpu District People's Government by conducting fast deployment and organization, and going all out to serve the medical workers from Qingpu Mobile Cabin Hospital and the staff from the Qingpu Health Commission, thereby fighting the epidemic together with frontline medical workers.

When the notice arrived, most hotel staff was off duty or under home quarantine. As the reception task was pressing, the management recalled the staff on important posts such as chef and housekeeper that night to alleviate the shortage of hands. Meanwhile, the hotel, which reserved appropriate quantities of living necessities during the lockdown, urgently purchased food, vegetables and tableware under the coordination of the Qingpu Health Commission. In terms of service staff and material reserves, the hotel overcame difficulties to make full preparation for reception. On April 1, the hotel received a total of about 260 frontline workers, including medical workers from Qingpu Branch of Zhongshan Hospital, Qingpu Traditional Medicine Hospital and Zhujiajiao People's Hospital, as well as staff from the Qingpu Health Commission.

Due to the shortage of hands, the management team mobilized all the staff on duty to join the frontline work and go wherever they are needed regardless of their positions and levels. They pulled together, ensured hardships, worked hard without complaints, and tried to serve all the anti-epidemic fighters at the hotel well. Relevant hotel departments made overall checks of equipment and facilities to ensure they were in good conditions, kept the air-conditioning system for public space running under a fresh air mode, shut off the air return valve, disinfected rooms, public areas and public facilities and equipment on a daily basis, and took strict prevention and control measures such as checking health codes, travel codes and nucleic acid test reports of entering and exiting personnel, so as to create a safe and favorable accommodation environment for the medical workers.
