Shanghai is at the most critical stage of epidemic prevention and control. To implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, as well as the work requirements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, under the leadership of the CPC SIG Committee, SIG's female staff has forged ahead with firm confidence, endured all hardships, worked around the clock, and devoted themselves to the frontline against the epidemic without hesitation to contain the spread of the epidemic. They have worked against time on respective posts, presenting a beautiful view in the fight against the epidemic.
Fighting the epidemic by pen
A full and busy day is a common day of every staff members working from home, as well as a vivid portrayal of all the paper workers of SIG fighting the epidemic by pen.
Sticking to posts, standing out and rising to the challenge
Go where there is epidemic, fight it till it perishes. The passion for paper work is the work motivation for Fan Qing, a comprehensive secretary at the Department of Administration of SIG. Facing the grim epidemic situation, she volunteered to write various documents of SIG on epidemic prevention and control while fulfilling her own work. In spite of working from home, she has paid close attention to SIG's epidemic prevention efforts every day, responded online for 24 hours, and devoted herself to the writing of various materials such as epidemic prevention and control schemes, notices, tips and weekly reports full of energy, thereby making her due contributions to the timely conveyance, deployment and implementation of SIG's epidemic prevention measures.
Passing voice and building a defensive line
Epidemic prevention and control needs to be swift, so does paper work. Fan required herself to duly convey the latest epidemic prevention requirements, report frontline epidemic prevention measures, and spread good people, good deeds and advanced experience in epidemic prevention. She has closely followed epidemic prevention and control policies released by the city and the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SHSASAC), duly studied and comprehended the spirit of these policies, converted them into documents based on SIG's facts, and compiled the first drafts of the notice for working from home, the special action program for preventive disinfection, the tips for epidemic prevention and staff health management and the weekly report on epidemic prevention and control. To get a clear picture of the epidemic situation, she has strengthened work coordination with the staff of SIG's subsidiaries responsible for epidemic prevention and control, and carefully verified work details and processes, to ensure that submitted materials were comprehensive and accurate. Amid the current epidemic outbreak, she has written a dozen documents on epidemic prevention.
Addressing problems, passing warmth
The sudden epidemic outbreak has disturbed the normal and orderly life of staff, and caused a lot of trouble. As part of Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM), she has been concerned about her colleagues, solved problems and done practical things for them by all means, thereby making her due contributions to the fight against the epidemic…
Ensuring the delivery of living supplies
During the lockdown, the purchase of living supplies was the biggest problem for staff due to transport strains. Zhang Li, a secretary of the Labor Union and a Party member of the Fourth Party Branch of SSAM, learned from Party branches and labor union teams that communities and sub-districts where some staff lives have not distributed living supplies yet, and their basic living needs could hardly been met due to the serious shortage of vegetables, grains and other basic living supplies. At the news, she immediately contacted pass-holding suppliers that could ensure the safety of supplies and point-to-point delivery to staff. Upon frequent communication, she delivered vegetables, eggs, poultry meat and other living supplies to a total of 26 staff members in batches. In case of any stock shortage, she worked overtime contacting suppliers for replenishment. Eventually supplies were delivered to staff safe and sound to address their burning needs. She also delivered supplies to the families of the staff stationed in Nandan Road, to dispel their worries and keep their minds on work.
Caring for staff
She made calls to nearly 20 needy staff members checked by Party branches to find out their real situation and solve their practical difficulties by level and class. Learning that some staff was anxious about the large number of residents tested positive for COVID-19 in their communities, she contacted them to appease their emotions and convey care and comfort from leaders. She also helped several staff members contact local neighborhood committees to solve problems such as seeking medical treatment and getting prescriptions filled. She tried her best to incessantly solve difficulties of staff without any mistake or omission. A call or comfort from the labor union in the special period firmed up the determination and confidence of the staff working from home in the fight against the epidemic. All these demonstrate her solid efforts on grass-roots service support.
Zhang devoted herself to the frontline against the epidemic when she was most needed, showed great concern for staff and did the most practical work, demonstrating the sense of responsibility of executives at the labor union working together to overcome difficulties in the frontline of the fight against the epidemic. As an ordinary Party member on the organizational support line of SSAM, she rose to challenges whenever needed by the company and were ready to contribute, fully demonstrating the advanced image of Party members and the company's great concern for staff. It is believed that we will win the battle against the epidemic through our concerted efforts.
Performing responsibilities in the special period
As Shanghai is facing an unprecedented test of epidemic prevention and control, the female staff of Guohe Capital has fully performed their social responsibilities, demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and gone all out for epidemic control…
There are a total of 4,000-5,000 households and some 13,000 residents in the community where Xu Weiran, Vice President of Investment at Guohe Capital, lives, and many of them are elderly residents. In the first three days of the closedown, as an assistant of the only green grocery nearby was diagnosed with COVID-19, residents were seriously short of food and badly in need of young volunteers' assistance and the neighborhood committee's epidemic prevention efforts.
At the very moment, Xu stood out as a volunteer. According to the work schedule, she collected supplies and delivered them to 95 households in the building on April 2 and 5. The community has four gates at which supplies were picked up. Due to the large number of online orders during the lockdown of the community, she had to walk back and forth to collect living supplies and deliver them from door to door.
While delivering supplies, she needed to stay at the building gate for 2 hours a day seeing that residents kept indoors. She patiently dissuaded those elderly residents who took chances to go out to walk dogs and burn hell bank notes in the garden early on the morning of Tomb-sweeping Day, to ensure the implementation of the epidemic prevention policy.
Fighting the epidemic in the frontline
Shanghai is fighting an unprecedented battle against the epidemic in hospitals, quarantine points and residential communities. Multitudes of community volunteers are making every endeavor to build a shield defending this city against the epidemic.
Cai Yimin, dispatched Administrative Manager of Shanghai Qiaohe Property Co., Ltd. under SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd., responded to the call of the building leader to join the express delivery team collecting supplies from designated sites and delivering them from door to door.
As she had to fulfill her own duty every day, she undertook night services. As many supplies purchased by residents were fresh food and vegetables that could not sustain long or overnight on outdoor shelves, she would offer help without hesitation as long as a resident sent a pickup prompt message in the WeChat group even it was late in the night. Given that the other members of the express delivery team have gasoline cars only, she who has an electric vehicle increased service frequency and would fetch supplies for residents in time if she had time.
Facing the epidemic, we fear no hardships and forge ahead! Women have demonstrated their dedication and splendor in the tough battle! They have faced up to the epidemic, kept the public safe, taken on responsibilities, and demonstrated the spirit of "staying true to the mission, living up to the times and staying duty-bound amid the epidemic outbreak" by action.
