Amid the recent grim epidemic situation, Shanghai is under heavy pressure for epidemic prevention and control. At the most crucial moment of epidemic prevention and control in Shanghai, the Fixed Income Business Division of Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM) under SIG responded to the call of the Work Leading Group of Jiading District on Epidemic Prevention and Control by supporting mobile cabin hospital construction in Shanghai Western Center owned by an invested enterprise.

Located in the core of Northern Hongqiao Business Demonstration Area, Shanghai Western Center is a 20-minute ride away from the Hongqiao hub that integrates aviation, highway transport and rail transit. With a mix of business forms such as office, commerce and apartment, as well as convenient transportation, diverse functions and complete equipment, it is remarkable in the area. Upon surveyed and planned by the Work Leading Group of Jiading District on Epidemic Prevention and Control, the center was selected as the site for a mobile cabin hospital.

On April 6, 2022, during inquiring about the situation of the invested enterprise amid the epidemic outbreak, the business department learned that the proposed emergency requisition of its property will have a negative impact on its future property sales and delivery, hoping that we would understand and support the decision. After learning that, the business department immediately asked leaders for instructions, and voiced support and encouragement to the invested enterprise at the earliest possible time, hoping that it would implement the important instructions on epidemic prevention and control, go all out for the work concerning space provision and construction, and assist the Work Leading Group of Jiading District on Epidemic Prevention and Control in water & electricity supply, material stacking and room layout planning, to ensure the early operation of the mobile cabin hospital. The early work of the emergency requisition is completed and the construction of the requisition area is under way. The hospital with 1,009 rooms and 994 beds is expected to come into use upon the completion of the requisition and construction on April 20.

In the emergency requisition, the Fixed Income Business Division of SSAM has earnestly implemented the important instruction of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government in epidemic prevention and control, and assisted the invested enterprise in responding to the call of the Work Leading Group of Jiading District on Epidemic Prevention and Control for emergency requisition. In the future, the division will strengthen the safety management of collaterals, formulate emergency plans and conduct project estimation, implement prevention and control measures, and make due contributions to Shanghai's tough battle against the epidemic.
