"Keeping to the Right Path, Making Innovations, Striving with Vigor, Implementing the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, Endeavoring to Open Up New Prospects for the High-quality Development of SIG" -- SIG 2023 Seminar on Studying the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress was held on January 5, to study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the 12th CPC Shanghai Municipal Congress, serve major national and municipal strategies, study and analyze the new situation and tasks of SIG, and conceive the goals, tasks and initiatives of reform and development for 2023 and the coming three years. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, presided over the seminar.

    Members of SIG's leading body, Party leaders of SIG's subsidiaries, heads of SIG's departments, representatives of full-time directors and supervisors, the Office of the CPC SIG Committee and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office exchanged ideas on future work ideas and initiatives.

    The meeting noted that facing the complex and severe external environment, as well as the arduous and heavy development tasks, SIG fulfilled the reform and development tasks for 2022 and those set in the three-year plan (2020-2022). We should seize the opportunity of applying for establishing financial holding companies, to improve our operation and management capabilities, enhance our influence and reputation with focus on serving major strategies, constantly optimize our management mechanism and management structure, strive to cultivate top talents, and keep opening up new prospects for high-quality development.

    The meeting stressed that the year 2023 marks the opening year for the implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the launch year of SIG's new three-year plan. SIG should take thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress as its primary political task, implement the requirements of "thinking about and planning for the development of Shanghai under the central strategy for the development of Shanghai, in the context of economic globalization, in the pattern of national development, and in the country's overall plan for the development of the Yangtze River Delta", enhance its stance and sense of urgency, change its habitual thinking, develop new strategies and methods, serve major national and municipal strategies, learn from world-class enterprises, advance key work such as promoting the building of a financial holding group, deepening and expanding the functions of a state capital platform, improving investment quality and the capability of asset management, improving the marketization mechanism, and fully strengthening primary-level Party building, and strive for a good start in the implementation of the new three-year action plan, so as to make new greater contributions to accelerating the building of Shanghai into a globally influential socialist modern international metropolis.
