Recently, SMG Oriental Financial Channel's Innovation Station and SETV's Hot Spot Focus have published a report titled Serving National Strategies with the Responsibility of State-owned Enterprises, Performing Social Responsibility under the Guidance of Party Building. The report focused on the work results of Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM) in implementing national strategies, participating in the "double-hundred" village-enterprise pairing program according to the unified arrangements of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and Shanghai International Group (SIG), and carrying out targeted poverty alleviation and joint Party building in Chushuizhai Village, Qiubei County, Yunnan Province.

    In recent years, General Secretary Xi Jinping has given important instructions in efforts concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and the No. 1 central document issued in 2023 once again emphasized efforts to push forward all-round rural revitalization. Under the leadership of SIG, since partnering with Chushuizhai in 2018, through Party building, SSAM has aided the poor and boosted their confidence in shaking off poverty, contributing to the national strategies of poverty eradication and rural revitalization. With boosting internal dynamism by cultural confidence as the starting point, SSAM has made its way into mountains and villagers' hearts, and kept working hard to bring immense changes to the village from inside out in terms of Party building, industrial support and cultural assistance.

    Instead of merely providing supplies, SSAM went deep into the village to find out its situation, created a sustainable economic growth model of industry first, and funded the planting of the first 75 mu of mulberry saplings in "mulberry fields of love" and the purchase of sericulture equipment for "cocooneries of love", to help farmers increase their income. Thanks to the demonstration and driving effects of the first phase of the project, the number of farmers involved in the second phase tripled.

    While helping its partnering villages shake off poverty, SSAM has noticed the rich traditional culture of multi-ethnic settlements and developed innovative support ideas. SSAM launched a tour of intangible cultural heritage sites called "Beauty of Cultural Heritage". Over the past four years, SSAM has teamed up with the media to visit intangible cultural heritage sites six times in support of intangible cultural heritage protection and craft promotion, promoting the industrial development and renewal of these sites. In 2022, SSAM built a stage for the dissemination of intangible cultural heritage, facilitating a direct dialogue between two national intangible cultural heritage items: Yunnan's Poya Songbook and Jiangnan's Kun Opera. Thanks to media promotion, the next successor was found for silverware making, an intangible cultural heritage craft on the verge of extinction.

    In recent years, SSAM has achieved fruitful results in both primary business development and social responsibility performance, winning the titles of "Shanghai Model Entity" and "Shanghai Model Collective". Its public service practices have been covered by a number of media outlets, and earned SSAM several national awards. After years of accumulation, SSAM has launched the "SSAM Charity" brand that highlights action in charity. At the next stage, guided by the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, SSAM will implement the requirements of "thinking about and planning for the development of Shanghai under the central strategy for the development of Shanghai, in the context of economic globalization, in the pattern of national development, and in the country's overall plan for the development of the Yangtze River Delta", show its sense of responsibility as a state-owned enterprise, actively integrate itself into national strategies, and embark on a new journey and make new achievements in the new era while pursuing high-quality development.
