CR Power released its 2015 Sustainable Development Report online on July 21. So far, CR Power has released its sustainable development report for 6 continuous years since 2010 when it’s first such report was prepared. The Report consists of 8 parts, disclosing in detail the work carried out by CR Power in fulfilling its economic responsibility, environmental responsibility and social responsibility and the achievements made in the past year. The Report was rated as “Five-Star” level by the CSR Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, ranking among excellent corporate social responsibility reports.

By extending the social responsibility theme “Refreshing Life with Green Energy” and using “Refresh” as the core concept and mainline, the report interprets from six aspects, namely, responsibility management (Refresh: the Way), environmental responsibility (Refresh: Cleanness), shareholder’s responsibility (Refresh: Profitability), partners’ responsibility (Refresh: Sincerity), employee’s responsibility (Refresh: Generosity) and public responsibility (Refresh: Community Engagement). The Report tightly focuses on the industries such as green development and energy saving& environmental protection, and the theme of the time, and uses Chinese ink painting as background and Chinese ancient phrases as opener to interpret the concept of social responsibility and pursuit of the CR Power from Chinese traditional culture, which demonstrates the corporate connotation of CR Power to carry on the Chinese culture and integrate with social environment.

To improve the compilation quality, the Report was prepared based on latest Chinese and foreign standards such as CRI Sustainability Report Guidelines (G4), China CSR Reporting Guidelines for Power Generation Industry (CASS-CSR3.0) and Guidelines of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd. on Environmental, Social and Governance Report (HK-ESG) and by taking excellent corporate social responsibility reports as reference, to continuously improve the process, substantiality, completeness, balance, comparability, readability and innovation. In the meantime, to improve the credibility and transparency of the disclosure and identify the parts improvable, CR Power invited an independent third party to have data authentication on main emission indexes for the first time.

As the verses of a poem read, “Borne on the wind, it sneaks in by night, and gives vital moisture to all.” While taking up corporate social responsibility (CSR), CR Power will incorporate the philosophy of “refresh” into all aspects of corporate life, including CSR strategy and decision-making, organizational details, routine operation and management, employee conduct, branding, community development, and supply chain management. By so doing, CR Power expects to create a better life together with stakeholders with gentle, warm and helping hands, just as continuous rainfall in the spring quietly creates a better world.
