On November 19 at 8:00 a.m., the 2017 China Resources Shenzhen Nanshan Half Marathon (from now on referred to as “Nanshan Half Marathon”) commenced before China Resources Building Spring Cocoon. With the first starting gunshot by China Resources Group Chairman Fu Yuning, and the second gun by CR Power President, Hu Min, 16,000 runners got off the mark in batches by way of High-Tech Park, Houhai Top 100 Enterprises Headquarters Zone and Shenzhen Bay coastal region, experiencing a marathon track merging the ecological beauty and scientific beauty. As one of the biggest professional running events in China, Nanshan Half Marathon this year, themed by “scientific Nanshan leads the innovation”, in which CR Power serves as one of the principal sponsors, adds healthy, fashionable, scientific, vigorous and public elements for the event by means of creatively designed and highly involved interaction games.
On the track, CR Power organized “Power Run” dolls, “cheer team,” “fun running team” and “lion awakening team” to cheer up players. “Power Run” puts on sportswear, the match of CR yellow t-shirts and CR Power purple shorts was filled with youth and vigor, becoming an attractive and passionate scenery on the track; in the “fun running team.” A group of employees wore the “Big Red Packets” dress, attracting phenomenal attention, they told people on site that CR Power would actively expand power sales and other comprehensive energy service business, and send bonus of power transformation to users; at “cheer station.” Employees from power plant of CR Power wore a yellow dress, waved banners and cried out slogans such as “CR Power, Charge for You,” “CR Power, Cheer for You,” and “CR Power, Greater Vigor for You.” Adding momentums for runners to move ahead; there was also lion dancing and war drum performances with Lingnan cultural characteristics, both lions sent out banners of “CR Power Running the Future with You” and “Running into CR for 80 Years ” from the mouth, injecting running energy for players in a prosperous and promising manner.
A big advantage of the Nanshan Half Marathon was the enterprise carnival in Shenzhen Bay Stadium, and CR Power’s “Full Power” booth gained high popularity. There were not only cool “photovoltaic roof” and rechargeable “smart energy towel,” but also diversified enterprise exhibition and interaction experiences. Stepping into the corporate culture booth, cartoon advertising video, and picturesque power plant, scenery video played in a loop on the big screen fully demonstrated CR Power’s corporate image of adhering to innovative and green development. The business distribution map enabled visitors to learn about CR Power’s strength of spreading its business over 27 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government in China. Walking to the interaction experience zone, “Power Gashapon Machine” concealed customized USB disk, bus pass, key ring, environment-friendly bag and other corporate culture related souvenirs; bringing both childhood memories and life convenience for people. Body painting allowed players to spurt powerfully with CR Power mark; entering the zone set with 180° 3D surrounding dynamic photo taking interactive experience, participants would obtain an exclusive moving photo. Attracting much involvement by novelty; the booth gaining the greatest popularity was the game of “green CR, dynamic bike power generation competition”, participants would run a bike to “generate power” to light up the power model on wall, so as to win a souvenir; the one with the hottest atmosphere was the “Run With Increasing Power” flash show, employees in yellow dress had street dance improvisational performance in a highly futuristic manner, refreshing the masses’ knowledge about power workers.
Fu Yuning, the China Resources Group Chairman, Hu Min, the CR Power President and Ge Changxin, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Senior Vice President visited the booth to investigate and also experience. Chairman Fu was debriefed on CR Power’s overall business and booth design philosophy, picked up the souvenir “Power CR” to take a photo, and experienced the link of “green CR, dynamic bike power generation competition,” showing his favorable comments to the power booth. Hu Min and Ge Changxin also learned more about the booth and listened to the introduction of power sales business, experienced the “POWER Gashapon Machine” and 180° 3D surrounding dynamic photo taking a link, and took group photos with employees on site.
While planning and laying out booths meticulously, CR Power also actively organized employees to sign up and recruited long-distance running enthusiasts among all employees. By investigating their physical status, 249 applicants were ranked according to their previous marathon results; finally, 120 applicants were selected for the event. They wore CR Power purple T-shirts, ran hard along the track and finally finished the competition, in which, Liu Guangli from Coal Group won the first place among CR Power employees by the excellent result of 1 hour 33 minutes and 2 seconds.
This event was held with joint efforts from the Board Office and Southern China Region. To respond its spirit, before the event, Southern China Region company organized nearly 200 employees to accomplish 8km public running along Jiaomen riverside in Nansha District, Guangzhou, set 8 interactive stations along the way. Every team would activate the public welfare money of RMB100 upon finishing a station, after the event, such money amounted to RMB7,500. Runners also posted to their We-chat circles to gain likes and exchange for rice, edible oil, milk and other small presents. All such money and gifts were donated to people in straitened circumstances in villages nearby, thus achieving seamless connection of healthy sports and love dedication.
After the game, Ge Changxin, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Senior Vice President, presented medals to the top 6 runners in women team. Hu Min, the CR Power President and Wang Changli, the General Manager of Board Office granted relevant interviews conducted by Phoenix Satellite Television, Guangdong TV Station, and Shenzhen TV Station respectively. Other media including people.cn, Xinhua net, China Energy News, Southern Metropolis Daily, Shenzhen News Net, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, Hong Kong Economic Times, etc., also paid attention and devoted cover to the event, favorably communicating CR Power’s image and improving the Company’s brand & reputation.
