On December 5-7, the 30th U.S. POWER-GEN International Congress of the Year 2017 was held at Las Vegas Convention Center. The Ningxia Haiyuan Xihua Mountain Wind Farm of CR Power was awarded the “World’s Best Wind Power Project of 2017”, while Hezhou Power Plant and Cangzhou Power Plant were respectively selected as one of the “Annual World’s Best Coal-fired Power Plants” and “Combined Heat and Power Projects” by American counterparts, both ranking the second. Wang Xiaobin, The CR Power CFO, Li Yan, the General Manager of Ningxia Region in Northern China, Chen Weiguo, the General Manager of Cangzhou Project in Northeast China Region and others attended the meeting.

The U.S. POWER-GEN International Congress is the largest exhibition for power generation projects, power operation projects, power transmission, and distribution projects, power technologies as well as renewable energy sectors, enjoying great influence and authority worldwide. Moreover, the 30th U.S. POWER-GEN International Congress of the Year 2017 even held forums simultaneously by dividing all forms of power generation products and services into 14 parts, and nearly 300 experts from all over the world discussed the future development trends, solutions and technological innovation and reform in power industry.

Ningxia Haiyuan Xihua Mountain Wind Farm is a key investment and anti-poverty project for China Resources to offer fixed-point poverty alleviation service to Haiyuan County; with a total capacity of 300MW installed, a total investment of RMB2.1 billion and a yearly supply of clean energy reaching 755.7 million kWh, it's the wind power project with the largest single installed capacity in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The project created a record of being completed and put into operation in 135 days with all wind turbine commissioning being completed in 2.5 days, which provided valuable experience for the project construction in wind power industry. Upon its completion, the project solved the local power difficulty to a large extent, promoted the economic development and employment in poverty-stricken regions, and developed a standard for the innovation & development of clean energy. Therefore it was awarded the “World’s Best Wind Power Project” by the POWER-GEN International Congress.

With the results achieved in the innovative transformation of marble waste slurry desulfurization technology, ultra-low emission technological transformation for the coal-fired thermal power unit, mains side hybrid power complementary and centralized optimization engineering construction as well as the construction of industrial tourism demonstration project and other aspects. CR Power Hezhou Power Plant was guesstimated as one of the “Annual World’s Best Coal-fired Power Plants,” ranking the second place. While Cangzhou Power Plant improved its heat supply capacity by means of technological transformation, realized the objective of heat and power cogeneration supplying heat for 18 million m2 through two 300MW heat supply sets, and thus solved the heat supply problem for more than 50,000 households, replaced more than 40 heat supply boilers, provided useful reference for the design, building and heat upgrading & transformation of cogeneration units, so it was appraised as one of the “Annual World’s Best Heat And Power Cogeneration Projects”, ranking the second place.

The U.S. POWER-GEN International Awards are selected mainly for its technological innovation, regional influence, challenges and value creation, performance improvement and other dimensions. However, The winning of such award by an enterprise under CR Power, and also the accomplishment of such prize by a Chinese enterprise for the first time, represented the high recognition given by the international community to the green development of CR Power.
