President Hu Min Goes to US for Investigating Comprehensive Energy Service S&T Enterprises

From December 4 to December 7, CR Power President Hu Min led a team to San Francisco Bay Area, U.S. for survey, and carried out extensive and profound exchanges with key leaders of renowned universities, scientific & technological startups, venture capital funds, scientific research institutions and other units, regarding the technological innovation, industrial cooperation, investment philosophy, talent training and other aspects in the comprehensive energy service field.

During the survey, President Hu also called on Shen Zhijun, a tenured professor at Stanford University and a venture capitalist. To gained an overall understanding of Silicon Valley’s development history, meanwhile, they had an in-depth discussion over innovations in solar photo-thermal, thermal energy storage technology, and other technologies. President Hu also did a site survey to the central energy system of Stanford University to gain more knowledge about the heat pump technology-based waste heat capture, cold & hot water energy storage, as well as the energy optimization & scheduling system jointly developed with Johnson Controls and other core technologies. At the scientific startup AutoGrid, he visited AutoGrid and learned the distributed energy management, demand side response, virtual power plant and other technical solutions provided by AutoGrid for grid companies and end users; at BuildingIQ, an S&T enterprise specialized in building energy management, he studied its AI-based cloud platform technology; also, he visited Stem Company, a battery energy storage solution provider, and learned about its energy storage solutions provided for end users and achieved through the latest forecast and control technology, as well as its peak shaving, frequency modulating and other auxiliary services rendered for power grid companies.

President Hu said: “the competition in power industry has transferred from the competition in capital and assets to competition in technology and talent, while Silicon Valley, as the most innovative region in the world, has a large number of technology companies and talents with great potentials, CR Power shall actively learn from the internationally advanced technology and philosophy here, so as to lead the tide of the times for changes in power industry”.

Wang Xiaobin, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, Jiang Lihui, the Senior Vice President, Hou Yongjie, the Vice President, Bu Xiandou, the General Manager of Eastern China, Wang Changli, the General Manager of Board Office and others also participated in the survey.
