To adapt to reforms, transformation, and competition in the power industry and also driving the Company towards industrial transformation and upgrade, CR Power summoned an inaugural meeting for the Innovation, Development and Intellectual Property Committee (the IDIPC) and the Association for Science & Technology (the AST) on December 11. Participants who attended the meeting included: Chen Lang, the Deputy General Manager of CR Group, the IDIPC Director and the AST Chairman; Liu Lidong, the Senior Vice Director of the Group’s Human Resources Department, a member of the AST and the AST Vice Chairman; Sun Nan, a member of Party Group of Shenzhen Association for Science & Technology and an Associate Counsel; Chen Zhiyuan, the Deputy Head of Science Popularization and Society Works Department of Shenzhen Association for Science & Technology; Hu Min, the President of CR Power and the IDIPC Director; as well as members of the IDIPC under CR Power and scientific representatives from Coal Group and various regions.

Jiang Lihui, the Senior Vice President and Deputy Director of the IDIPC, chaired the meeting. He said that the founding of the IDIPC signified that the Company had pushed on the innovative work as a long-term systematic project coordinated by the organization and guaranteed by the system, which would inevitably drive the Company to realize the bright vision of becoming an international comprehensive energy service provider, trusted and preferred by customers. Ren Jianguo, the Director of Distributed Energy and Smart Micro Grid Institute under CR Power Technology Institute, made a report regarding the innovation, development, and works related to intellectual property, while Chen Shihe, the Vice President of Technology Institute and Director of Big Data Center introduced the CSASS project. Staff from Operation & Management Department and Technology Institute also shared their experience gained from projects “Thermal Power FOS System” and “RJS Smart Safety Control System” which won the “Best Scientific and Technological Innovation Award of China Resources University of 2017” respectively.

During the meeting, a ceremony was held to celebrate the establishment of Association for Science & Technology of CR Power; Liu Lidong, the Senior Vice Director of CR Group’s Human Resources Department and the AST Vice Chairman, explained and publicized the articles of association of the CR Group Association for Science & Technology. The meeting adopted by vote the Articles of Association of CR Group Association for Science & Technology (Draft), elected members of the CR Group AST, and elected President Hu Min as the first Chairman of the CR Group AST. Sun Nan, a member of Party Group of Shenzhen Association for Science & Technology and an Associate Counsel also delivered a speech, expressing that China Resources, as the backbone of Shenzhen Association for Science & Technology, has extended critical support to promote the scientific and technological development of Shenzhen. As the center of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen will play a vital role in Chinese economic growth in the future, while Shenzhen Association for Science & Technology will consolidate with CR Group and CR Power to make more significant contributions for the innovative development of Shenzhen.

President Hu Min delivered a speech at the meeting, expressed his gratitude to Shenzhen Association for Science & Technology and CR Group Association for Science & Technology for their guidance and support, and deployed the further works to be carried out by the IDIPC and the AST of CR Power. He pointed out that, the birth of the IDIPC under CR Power will guide and promote the Company’s innovation and entrepreneurship works, he also tasked the IDIPC to further set up and perfect its innovation management system and management rules, explore to establish innovation incentive mechanism, bring in innovative management ideas and methods, improve financial guarantees, strengthen the building of intellectual property management system and rules, and provide support and reference for the Company to make decisions and resolutions. According to President Hu, the AST of CR Power will, under the leadership of China Resources Group Association for Science & Technology, follow closely the spirit of the CPC’s “three meetings of science and technology” and the Group’s innovation-driven development strategy, unite scientific and technological workers at all levels of the Company to converge wisdoms, start with the clarification of responsibilities and positions, the leverage of all resources and the intensified efforts of talent training, speed up the pace of comprehensive innovation centered by scientific & technological innovation, and make new contributions to the innovative transformation and development of CR Power.

Chen Lang, the Deputy General Manager of CR Group and Director of the Group’s IDIPC, delivered a closing speech, indicating that he was happy to witness the establishment of the CR Power Association for Science & Technology, and hoping that the Association will further improve the ideological understanding and recognize its organizational position and job core of serving the decision making for the enterprise. The AST shall aim at international cutting-edge technologies and provide technical support for overseas project construction and development; combine closely with business development needs and realize innovation-driven development; set up and perfect relevant mechanisms, encourage innovative thoughts and behaviors, intensify its efforts in internal propaganda, and attract more scientific and technological workers to actively devote themselves to the scientific & technological innovations; expand foreign strategic cooperation and track out a new path with CR characteristics. Meanwhile, he also indicated that the Group’s flair for Science & Technology would give full support to the building and all other works of the CR Power Association for Science & Technology, to jointly promote CR Power to achieve innovation, transformation, and development invariably.

During the meeting, attending leaders, members and representatives visited the CR Power New Energy Centralized Operation & Maintenance Center. In the afternoon, a seminar on innovation was also held to share CR stories about innovation scenarios and lecture about think-tank innovation of China Resources; moreover, trainings themed by artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, big data and smart community, etc. were also organized.
