On March 26, CR Power held 2018 Work Conference in Chengdu, Sichuan, with the theme of “Thinking about Changes and Achieving Great Goal”. Li Ruge, member of the Party Committee of China Resources Group, Chief Accountant and Chairman of CR Power, and the responsible persons of Human Resources Department, Finance Department, Strategic Management Department, Legal Department, Environmental Health and Safety Department, and Audit Department were all invited to attend the meeting. The management team and various departments of holding company, coal industry groups, major regions, related units and various project companies, group and holding managers, about 300people, attended the meeting. Ge Changxin, a member of Party Committee of CR Power, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and senior vice president, presided over the meeting and explained the meaning of the theme of “Thinking about Changes and Achieving Great Goal”.

Ding Qi, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee and Vice President of the Holding Company, made a report on the work of Party Committee of CR Power. He comprehensively reviewed the primary task and achievements of the party building, discipline inspection, and supervision in 2017, and deployed the key points and implementation plans for the party building and discipline inspection in 2018. However, he stated that in 2017, under the leadership of the Party Committee of the Group. The Party Committee of CR Power took the opportunity of practicing “Three Ones" Project (i.e., studying a party-building project, promoting a party building innovation, cultivating a model of party building as well as creating the value of party building work;) of the party building of the Group. To further promote the normalized and institutionalized education of “Two Studies, One Action,” earnestly carry out the study and propaganda of guiding principles from 19th National Congress, and strengthen the foundation of party building work, and innovate party building work style, which has effectively promoted the various work of CR Power.

An Xing, the Assistant President and Information Director of Holding Company, made a big data analysis report of the information system. The multi-dimensional and cross-contrast methods are used to dig out information from 46 million pieces of data of OA, ERP, EAM, video conference, production daily report, N31 report, FOS and other systems in 2017, to analyze the development of related businesses, propose improvement suggestions and help CR Power to improve its value.

Hu Min, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Holding Company, made a report on the company work. The report stated that CP Power faced the difficulties and moved forward in the context of electricity transformation, high coal prices, and operating under pressure in the past two years since the "13th Five-Year Plan". Under the current leadership of the Group, CR Power rapidly promoted organizational changes, reshaped the corporate culture system, continuously innovated and developed ideas, formulated a “3+1” business strategy, developed clean energy with high quality, comprehensively distributed electricity sales business, vigorously expanded integrated energy, improved quality and efficiency of coal and electricity assets, steadily advanced overseas business, resolutely implemented the “one mine and one policy”, actively put forward asset optimization, better accomplished the annual goal, outperformed the market and competitors, accumulated strength for responding to transformation and development of the industry, and laid the foundation for the successful completion of the goal during the 13th Five-Year Plan. Mr. Hu comprehensively reviewed the overall operation of CR Power and 7 key tasks in 2017. He commented on the performance of coal industry group and various regions in 2017, pointed out the inadequacies of work and improvement requirements, and analyzed the macroscopic situation in 2018 in detail. He introduced main business development indicators and budget situation, made clear the implementation goals of "3+1" business strategy, proposed to focus on building four core capabilities while suggesting eight key management topics, and full deployment of management initiatives, to give business development direction of CR Power throughout the year.

Li Ruge, Member of the Party Committee of the Group, Chief Accountant and Chairman of the Board made an important speech. Chairman Li Ruge affirmed the work and achievements of CR Power in the past year in while responding to the complicated and ever-changing domestic and international economic situation, optimizing resource allocation, accelerating the stalemate, accelerating internationalization, and maintaining stable performance. At the same time, he said that 2018 was the first year of full implementation of guiding principles of the 19th Party Congress, the year of intensifying power system reform in China, and the critical year for CR Power to carry out innovation transformation and quality development. He said that at the new historical beginning, we must profoundly comprehend the macroscopic situation and focus on six aspects. Firstly, optimize strategic layout, adjust energy structure, and promote transformation and upgrading; secondly, adapt to the new requirements of intensified power system reform, strengthen management, and improve the core competitiveness; Thirdly, adhere to innovation-driven and achieve high-quality development; fourthly, actively expand the international market and foster new efficiency growth points; Fifthly, actively and steadily promote the disposal of zombie companies, deal with enterprise run at a deficit, and perform capacity reduction, leverage reduction, debt reduction and improve the capital efficiency; and sixthly, to uphold and enhance the party's leadership and strengthen the building of party members and cadres. Chairman Li Ruge expressed that under the new circumstance, all managers of CR Power should conscientiously implement the guiding principles of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party under the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. Remain faithful to original aspiration and keep mission firmly in mind, constantly emancipate the mind, blaze new trails in a pioneering spirit, overcome difficulties, live up to responsibility, unite and lead the broad masses of cadres and employees under the strong leadership of the Party Committee of the Group, work hard and be dedicated by footing on own work, create outstanding achievements worthy of the new era by wisdom and perspiration, and offer greater new contribution for economic and social development.

During the meeting, those who were in attendance also conducted a group discussion on the implementation of the principles of the Chairman's speech and the President's work report. The members of the management team of Holding Company commented individually on the releasing situation of each group.

The units with outstanding performance in 2017 were rewarded at the meeting. There are 10 awards in this year, namely, “Advanced Group for Implementing “Three Ones” Project”, Advanced Learning and Education Unit under the program of “Two Studies & One Action”, Slimming Fitness Contribution Award; Best Project Development Award, Best Engineering Construction Award, Best Operation Management Award, Best Fuel Purchasing Award, Best Electricity Sales Market Development Award, Best Technology Innovation Award and Best Management Innovation Award.

This working meeting distinctly depicted the blueprint of CR Power for the 13th Five-Year Plan under the new situation. It comprehensively summarized the business performance, its main work, and shortcomings in 2017, and clarified the crucial work, target directions and action measures in 2018. All managers further unified their thoughts, gathered consensus, and accumulated strength through the meeting, laying a solid foundation for CR Power to fully accomplish the goals of 2018.
