The Notice on the Construction of Pilot Project for Technical Upgrading of Coal-fired Biomass Power Generation (“Notice”) was recently released by the National Energy Administration and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. The Notice clearly shows the 84 pilot projects for the technical upgrading of coal-fired biomass power generation in 23 provinces, autonomous regions and municipality directly under the central government. 11 projects of CR Power were listed.
On November 27, 2017, the National Energy Administration and the Ministry of Ecology and the Ministry of Environmental Protection (now the Ministry of Ecology and Environment) released the Notice on Pilot Projects for Technical Upgrading of Coal-fired Biomass Power Generation, which clearly depicts that the quantity of biomass electric power from pilot projects for technical upgrading would be metered independently and purchased by power grid enterprises. The price of consumption/disposition of biomass resources would be compensated. Paying high attention, relevant project companies of CR Power made application actively by studying the policy, organizing application, preparing for the preliminary approval, organizing the initial approval and handing over the materials. Eleven projects were approved successfully at the start of the year.
According to the Notice, the central works of technical upgrading project must be completed and put into operation before May 1, 2019. The Operation Management Department, important offices in various regions and the project companies, worked closely to prepare specific work plan and links plan to ensure the major works are completed as scheduled practically, and the acceptance checks out successfully, contributing to the accelerated upgrading, innovation and quality development of CR Power.
