From July 31 to August 2, CR Power convened the Medium-term Strategic Review Workshop of “the 13th Five-year Plan” in Nanjing of Jiangsu. Then, around 160 persons in total, including the management team of the holding company, relevant department and office leaders of the holding company, all regional general managers, and concerned business leaders, attended the workshop.

The workshop involved the review of three topics, clean energy, electricity selling/comprehensive energy and thermal power business. Ge Changxin, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Senior Vice President of the holding company, delivered a speech about the exclusive introduction of clean energy at the workshop. Besides, Vice President Hou Yongjie talked about about special introduction of electricity selling/comprehensive energy and thermal power business, reviewed the development achievements the company had made since the release of the “13th Five-year Plan” based on relevant topics, pointed out internal and external challenges and opportunities the company faces and tasked the attendees to brainstorm and offer advice and suggestions to provide knowledge for the innovative transformation of CR Power.

In the special review of clean energy, Xu Hongbo, the Assistant Executive and General Manager of the Strategic Development Department of the holding company, made the “Development Research Report of Clean Energy Business” and “Analysis Report for Development Opportunities of Offshore Wind Power”, reviewing the company’s implementation of clean energy business strategy and analyzing the development direction of clean energy business and the development opportunities of domestic offshore wind power business. In addition, relevant experts from Shanghai Electric, China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. and Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited shared information about the development of wind power at home and abroad and in Guangdong and Shanghai.

In the special review of electricity selling/comprehensive energy, the Electricity Selling Management Department of the holding company made the “Development Research Report of Electricity Selling Business”, reviewing the strategic implementation of the company’s electricity selling business and analyzing the development direction and focus of electricity selling business. Meanwhile, Smart Energy Company introduced the scope of comprehensive energy services and put forward the future development direction of comprehensive energy services in accordance with all sorts of international and domestic typical cases.

In the special review of the thermal power business, the Strategic Development Department of the holding company made the report of “Global Tendency of Thermal Power and New Coal and Gas Power Opportunities in China”. In the meantime, the Operation Management Department proposed the overall thought of efficiency rising of coal power assets and the implementation strategy of “one strategy for one plant” based on the “efficiency raising of stock coal power” and “great operation strategy” and reported the overall thought of the company’s “great operation” system construction. Besides, Panjin Power Plant shared its practical experience of improving the asset profitability innovatively.

After special reports were made, the attendees were divided into groups to discuss and release discussion results respectively based on the development patterns and areas of onshore and offshore wind power, problems encountered in the development and construction of clean energy, how to respond to competitive allocation, development strategies of different electricity selling companies, how to develop the comprehensive energy services rapidly, newly increased areas of coal and gas power in the future, how to improve the profitability of stock assets, advice for the excellent operation strategy and other topics. The management personnel of the holding company commented on their discussion results respectively.

In the summary speech, President Hu Min explained the development trend of international and domestic power market, shared his ideas on clean energy, electricity selling/comprehensive energy service, thermal power and the excellent operation strategy based on the development of corporate business at the present stage, highlighted the significance of strategy-oriented organizational performance growth and future development, and offered work ideas and requirements for the company’s optimization of the “13th Five-year” development strategy and attaining of goals of transformation innovation and quality development.
